Any such changes will take effect when posted on the website and it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website and your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.
Samples illustrate print, card style and quality but may not be to your exact requirements – on request, we will send you exact proofs and colours when you order. However, Olive Weddings may request that you return samples at your own expense when ordering to ensure a perfect match is made to your original samples.
All orders that you place with Olive Wedding Stationery will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Supply of information
Please ensure that information supplied for stationery is in a usable format and accurate to the best of your knowledge, to minimise amendment and reproofing. Information for items needed on the day (Order of Service, Menus, Place Name Cards, Table Plans, Table names/numbers) must be signed off a minimum of 3 weeks before the wedding to guarantee the delivery of the items in time for the wedding.
Proofs are sent via PDF on email unless specifically requested otherwise, using the wording and layout agreed in your order – please note that you are responsible for checking spellings and grammar, even more important if you have supplied your own wording. Olive Weddings wil roughly check wordings but if items are signed off with typos and subsequently printed, Olive Weddings takes no responsibility. If replacements are required, they will be charged for in full. Also note that colour on screen can differ from printed colour and although colours are standardised you should try to see hard samples using the exact colour you require before signing the stationery off for print.
Any changes required to the wording must be emailed or phoned through and the proof rechecked and signed off.
Olive requires that, once happy with the proofs, you sign, scan/fax/send back a sign off form to confirm that you are happy with all elements of the proof from start to finish and are happy for the entire job to be printed. Lead times vary but in a small number of cases, printing can occur as quickly as the same day as sign off, so any subsequent corrections, not mentioned before sign off will result in the additional/amended invitations be charged on top of the original order. All stationery, artwork and designs are the copyright of Olive Wedding Stationery. All rights reserved. Due to the bespoke nature of the printing small variations in colour may occur. You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use any material (for example poems and hymns in your Order of Service or photography/imagery on bespoke stationery) you ask Olive Weddings to include in your stationery. Olive Weddings does not supply original artwork for printing with other suppliers.
Olive reserves the right to feature your stationery and descriptions of it on promotional material and the Olive Wedding Stationery website or blog, but will never disclose your personal details or wedding details to third parties or online.
Bespoke service is charged at a flat rate of £200, this cost is not all encompassing and if a lot of time is spent developing a design the cost may need to be revised. If you like an existing desing but would like tweaks made this is charged at £25 – £50 depending on the work involved. If you want to do this please contact Olive Weddings.
If you commit to the full bespoke service by agreeing for design work to start, we will invoice you for £100.00 of the bespoke charge to cover the cost of admin, initial design and ideas. The remaining £100.00 will be payable with your invoice along with the cost of the actual stationery. All designs remain the copyright of Olive Wedding Stationery and are not be reproduced on any other items unless permission or files are supplied by ourselves. Olive Weddings also reserves the right to add your design or elements of it to our range of stationery styles after your wedding date.
Once we have received your order, we aim to get PDF proofs to you within a working day. Once approved your finished stationery will be delivered in two weeks, sometimes less. You can pay a rush charge of £50 to have your stationery made top priorty, this allows us to pay for expedited postage from our suppliers and work outside of normal hours to get them sorted for you. These time-scales are from when payment is received. Every effort is made to get orders processed and sent as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, these timings may change due to circumstances beyond our control, but we will always keep you updated on your order. Please note, lead times on more simple invitations such as those in the Contemporary Range will be shorter than invites with more finishing involved (pockets and wallets).
The price includes the typesetting, proofs and printing. The prices shown are inclusive of UK taxes, where applicable.
The total sum for your order is due on sign off and before card is ordered to enable us to buy your stock and pay for your delivery.
Delivery will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery next day by 1pm on all orders except for table plans which are sent via Parcelforce 24 hr delivery to the UK and Northern Ireland. The cost of delivery is between £11 and £15 per parcel under 2kg and £23 over 2kg.
A signature will be required on delivery to provide proof of receipt. If you live locally and prefer to collect the order please contact us. We must be notified of defective goods within seven working days or you are not guaranteed a replacement.
Olive Wedding Stationery prides itself on exemplary customer service and quality. Every effort is made on Olive Wedding Stationery’s part to ensure that parcels are sent and delivered safely and on time, (If the terms detailed in Signing Off, above, are met, Olive Wedding Stationery guarantee that parcels of stationery will be sent on a service that ensures they arrive by your wedding date.) If the parcel is delayed or lost Olive Wedding Stationery will do all possible to locate or replace the stationery and seek compensation itself from the party responsible. If, however, delay or loss of a stationery order results in it being useless for its original purpose Olive Wedding Stationery accepts no liability for any cost additional to that of replacements. Where Olive Weddings performs its obligations to rectify defective/lost orders under this condition you will not be entitled to any further claim in respect of the work done nor will you be entitled to treat delivery thereof as a ground for repudiating the contract, failing to pay for the work or canceling further deliveries. Olive takes no responsibility for damage caused by parcels being left for period of time at Royal Mail sorting offices.
Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by Royal Mail.
You will be responsible for checking that invitations sent to your guests are the correct type. No refund will be given for guests receiving the wrong invitations. In some cases this will involve opening the invitations from a wallet, pocketfold or envelopment, untying a ribbon or removing/replacing a belly band. Olive Weddings takes no responsibility for invitations being sent to the wrong guests.
Cancellation of order will be subject to any costs incurred and the full order will be charged if the order has been signed off and printed. Except in cases of a manufacturing defect we do not accept returns of personalised items. We must be notified of defective goods within seven working days. Defective goods must be returned to us by recorded post. We will reimburse postage costs. Upon receipt of defective goods we will contact the customer to arrange a replacement or refund.
Olive Wedding Stationery shall be under no liability if unable to carry out any order for any reason beyond its reasonable control including (without limiting the foregoing): Act of God; legislation; war; fire; flood; drought; inadequacy or unsuitability of any instructions, electronic file or other data or materials supplied by the customer; failure of power supply; or owing to any inability to procure materials required for the completion of the order. Very occasionally card is not available from the Mill. Every effort is made to get card quickly and in the correct shade but since Olive source their card from one supplier there is the possibility of delay. Please rest assured that you will be kept informed if this should happen.
