I’m thrilled with my first bespoke project since my break. It’s fantastic to get back to creative work and designing this beautiful garland of watercolour flowers for Melanie and Gavin was a joy!
The couple wanted to incorporate a floral, bohemian feel which happily enabled them to include four meaningful flowers to the final garland; Roses for Melanie’s English heritage, shamrocks for Gavin’s, bells of Ireland which are traditionally included in Irish bouquets and finally myrtle, a symbol of love and marriage.
The finished effect is luscious foliage in a palette of greens, plums and blush pink.
Each of Melanie’s information cards incorporates one of the flowers and a fourth colour was added to the palette in the form of an orchid envelope for the RSVP and invite which also had a floral liner.
The invite itself is a 7 x 5 inch portrait pocket with white smooth card and orchid backing card and floral belly band.
I always love the use of little icons for RSVP menu choices instead of words too, they are so neat.
Melanie said simply “The look gorgeous, I love them!”
So do I, and what a pleasure to work on!
