INVITATIONS AND SAVE THE DATE CARDS
SAMPLES

You can order samples of each design that you like to see the finish and quality. There is a limit of ten samples per couple. It can take a few goes to get the right combination though so don't worry about doing this in batches. Remember that custom ink, paper, typestyle and design options are always available. Order samples on the Free Samples pages in the main menu by choosing Free Samples or clicking the link on each design page. If you are interested in seeing samples of a particular envelope colour or lining, please let us know when placing your sample order. Most sample orders are processed within a week and sent via Royal Mail Second Class service from the studio. If you are in a rush, please get in touch so that we can prioritise your order.

ORDERING AND PROOFING

Years of experience have taught us that every order is unique! If you would like to place an order please call oremail Olive Weddings at ruth@oliveweddings.co.uk letting us know:

  1. Stationery item(s) required
  2. Format(s) required
  3. Design name
  4. Design colour
  5. Card colour
  6. Quantities

And we will get back in touch with you to get all the additional details we need including: wordings, fonts, envelope choices, any pocket or backing card colours (if applicable), finishing touches.

REVIEW YOUR PDF PROOF

We will create an electronic proof to of your invitations and you will receive them via e-mail. Note that colours will appear differently on screen than they will when printed.

Approve your proofs

Approve your wedding invitation proof after careful review. Our proofs are custom designed and are not automatically generated from our online order form, so please check all proof details carefully. We recommend having several people review your proofs prior giving final approval. If you have used our downloadable order form or ordered by phone/email, you will be invoiced in full at this stage. Card will be ordered from the Mill when you have made payment.

Lead times

Once approved your finished stationery will be delivered in two weeks, sometimes less. You can pay a rush charge of £50 to have your stationery made top priority, this allows us to pay for expedited postage from our suppliers and work outside of normal hours to get them sorted for you. These time-scales are from when payment is received. Every effort is made to get orders processed and sent as quickly as possible. We will always keep you updated on your order and of course, lead times on more simple invitations such as those in the 7 x 5 inch format will be shorter than invites with more finishing involved (pockets and wallets).

Your order is despatched

Your invitations are printed, packaged and shipped to you. We will contact you when your order is shipped so you know what day it will need signing for.

SUPPLY OF INFORMATION

Please ensure that information supplied for stationery is in a usable format and accurate to the best of your knowledge,
to minimise amendment and reproofing.

You can work backwards from when you would like your RSVPs to decide on a timescale for our invitations.
Venues will have deadlines for final numbers but remember to allow enough time for getting other stationery items
printed and proofed. Invitations generally leave 1 month for guests to reply and lead times are an estimated 2 weeks
so supply your invite information on average 6-8 weeks before you’d like the RSVPs back.

DAY STATIONERY
part of a set or one off order

If you have ordered invites you can order your day stationery to match. If you would only like to purchase the day stationery
simply browse the motifs including our Get Inspired! and Extra Services to help you decide on just the right combination.
Choose your favourite motif, format and colours.
Ordering, proofing and sign off is then carried out in the same way as above.

SUPPLY OF INFORMATION

Information for items needed on the day (Order of Service, Menus, Place Name Cards, Table Plans, Table names/numbers) must be signed off a minimum of 3 weeks before the wedding, the preference is 3 weeks to allow for any mailing issues and to guarantee the delivery of the items in time for the wedding.

PAYMENT METHODS

Invoices are sent on receipt of your sign off and are payable straight away to cover the cost of the materials and delivery. Invoices can be paid via cheque or online transfer.
