Banasa and Seb’s wedding day is to be held in Islington Town Hall followed by a reception at Islington Metalworks a renovated but distinctly industrial building. For such a unique venue, they didn’t want just any invitations and commissioned this hyper-contemporary set from us!
The fonts, palette, format and motif all combine to make a unique set of staggered cards using a hanging keys motif to create mystery and keep the metals theme. We designed the motif first, using little vintage key silhoettes to create a romantic feel. We then combined the motif and elements of it with the stunning classic magazine fonts and super-modern palette of acid yellow, magenta and turquoise, with a different colour on each card.
The staggered effect allows all the beautiful headings to be seen and together make up a cover card, invite, reception and directions card and an RSVP with a suitably contemporary pattern on the back which mirrors the key position on the front with one magenta line.
The envelope liner also mirrored this pattern. Banasa is over the moon with the results and so are we!
“I am in love with my invites and it’s been such a pleasure working with you!”
